Portfolio Career
Lilly’s career path looked unorthodox until portfolio careers came into fashion. She started a technical career in the advanced IT field. Her knowledge and experience emanate from working in a variety of business and development areas, from operational, commercial, consultancy, academic, to research and development. Lilly worked for BP, Coopers & Lybrand, Kingston University, Logica VTS, British Steel and Belgrade University. Her clients include Ministry of Energy in Serbian Government, KPMG Ag, Westminster Foundation for Democracy, BT, ISP Ltd, Hewlett Packard, Shell, World Bank, Peter Chadwick plc, ABSA Bank, GSB UCT, European Police Women Federation, PA Technology, London Business School, Citibank and Pegasus Communications Inc. She has worked in Balkans, East and West Europe, USA, Japan, Russia, South Africa and India. Lilly speaks five languages (some are rusty) and understands many more.
Action Leader
Lilly was born into a multinational family and gained education as a control systems engineer and computer scientist before obtaining her Ph.D. in the artificial intelligence and systems thinking using the Internet link with MIT in Boston for its practical part. It introduced a method for algorithmically solving large scale problems. Responding to a challenge, she recently looked back at her thesis to discover that she is now finally using what she wrote about as theory. The difference is that now she has the capabilities to integrate the rational approach with the emotional and spiritual intelligence gained through extensive practice in working with multicultural and multidisciplinary groups.
